Self-Talk
What we tell ourselves is as important as our actions. Everything is energy, and we craft our lives with the thoughts we have. Our opinions are the food to our soul.
My kindergarten teachers and my parents taught me to be generous to my friends, use the golden rule with everyone, and play nice in the sandbox. I am still trying my best to apply this practice in my daily routine consistently.
I know I am supposed to be kind to others, but am I being generous to myself?
Self-Talk
Sometimes, when I talk to myself, I am not as forgiving and tolerant as I am with my friends and family. I don’t have the same love and understanding. Instead, I look for my flaws and highlight them. I mock my body looks and choose to focus on things that I dislike. I play the role of devil’s advocate all the time.
As I continue my mindfulness journey through my meditation and yoga practices, I keep asking why I choose to be such a critic about myself and sometimes my worst enemy. I should be my best friend, as I am the only person who will walk with me for my entire life.
My Body. My house. My Life.
To live well, I must embrace the light and shadows I have. We are all different, and that is what makes the world more beautiful and exciting.
Some days it is hard to appreciate who I am today and what I can accomplish now. I still have high expectations, and can’t stop being a perfectionist. Both define who I am and have been a valuable tool in many instances of my life. Nevertheless, they can also hurt me badly.
This week, I decided to write down some affirmations and reminders to nurture my body and soul, and I want to share them with you.
Health
I am healthier and stronger every day.
I love and accept my body the way it is.
I listen to and respect my body.
Mind
I am a loving and caring person to myself and others.
I focus on my strengths, and I have what it takes to be wholehearted.
I can overcome my fear because I am a warrior. I am stronger because I am surrounded by people who care about me.
Spiritual
I am where I need to be.
I trust life because I know God is with me, and I am blessed.
I am surrounded by light and protected by divine beings.
Life
I appreciate the beauty and the people around me.
The Universe sends good things and great friends my way.
I am connected to Nature, and it feeds my soul to its fullness.
Belief
I believe everything happens for a reason, and the best is yet to come.
We are all in this together for a reason. To love and learn with each other.
I will print this list and hand it on my bathroom, as a reminder of who I am and what I can become.
Have you ever tried to make your own list? I wish you inner peace and love every single day of your journey.
Yours truly,
Hope

I really needed to hear this today. We all criticise ourselves more than others I guess because of self esteem issues and not valuing ourselves enough. Great post keep up the great content ?
