Have you ever felt like you had no energy at all?

 

This can be due to a physical problem or a mental one. In fact, probably both.

 

They are entirely interconnected. Dr. Mark Hyman once posted that he is not against using drugs or psychotherapy to treat anxiety and depression, but much more can be done to boost mood, including focusing on the foods we eat.

What we do to our bodies, we do to our brain. His advice: treat your body, and you treat your brain. When you fix your body, you fix your broken brain.

 

One way is by focusing on a healthy diet based on mood-boosting foods, which are rich in zinc, magnesium, vitamin B, Omega-3 fatty acids, and probiotic-rich foods, like:

 

Zinc: oysters, kale, broccoli, legumes, and nuts;

Magnesium: fish, avocado, dark leafy greens;

Vitamin B: asparagus, leafy greens, meat, and avocado;

Omega-3 fatty acids: wild-caught salmon;

Probiotic-rich foods: kefir, yogurt, and other fermented foods.

 

Let me know if you try. For me, it totally works. When I follow a healthy diet, I feel much better, with a lot more energy!
