Do You Have the Power?

I joined a retreat last week with one of the healers from the Netflix documentary, Heal. It was supposed to be a busy week, with group meditations and healing activities throughout the days.

When I first entered the meeting room, there was a strong sense of love and peace. I immediately felt happy and grateful for being there. I didn’t know what to expect, nor what was about to happen.

About 60 attendees from different parts of the globe had a common goal and purpose, which was to find hope, feel better, and get healthy.

We joined the same room for 5 days, shared meals, stories, and challenges. We talked as if we knew each other for a long time. I guess pain and suffering build up compassion and empathy.

The mental exercise during the days required energy, attention, and discipline. We had the commitment to be mindful, leaving our worries outside, and our cellular phones powered off. We had to be literally in the room all the time – mind and body.

Were We Together By Chance?

I don’t believe in coincidences. God has come to my life in different ways to show me the path I needed to go. Everybody in the room had a significant hurdle in life and was ready to take a leap of faith and make a change. We were all warriors, looking for peace.

The importance of positive thoughts and an upbeat attitude was highlighted several times. With an unbalanced mindset, we may bring all sorts of pain and issues to our physical and energy bodies. So, if we face a tough problem, it can quickly become worse.

Can we transmute the energy within us? Can we overcome our difficulties, and be stronger? Yes.

Two presenters explained there is infinite divine light within and around ourselves, all the time. The Universe is filled with positiveness, and we need to tap into that powerful love and start to change our state of mind and health.

No need to attend expensive retreats, workshops, or talk to shamans.

As soon as we turn on our inner light, and empower ourselves with the firm belief of self-love and care, we start to move into a better direction for our health and our lives.

While going to the doctor and following specific medical direction is critical to control an autoimmune condition, the medication intake will work on the symptoms, but it is not likely to fix the leading cause that triggered the disease. The root of all our problems lies in our minds; that is why it so critical to reframe our thoughts and heal our energy bodies first.

It’s not enough to wish to become healthier. It’s necessary to adjust our habits to what is suitable for us. That includes, what we drink, what we eat, what we think, and what we do.

Swapping our negative thoughts with positive ones takes a lot of mindfulness and discipline, but the pay off is significant. It’s like an “emotional diet,” replacing junk thoughts with organic, healthy ones. We feel immediately happier, and our hearts fulfilled with peace and gratitude.

I Know. I Trust. I Believe.

Right after one of his short lectures, I had the urge to write down a prayer.

I took my little journal, and listed the blessings I wanted to happen in my life, and expressed my gratitude to the Universe for receiving them. I was ready to surrender my expectations and receive all the benefits available to me.

After I wrote my affirmation and prayer, something magical happened. The energy inside my body immediately changed. I felt happy to be alive and grateful for all I have experienced. I consciously changed my mindset and got an immediate positive result. My energy changed.

I will publish my prayer in my upcoming blog. Meanwhile, I invite you to write yours. It is important to know what we want to receive, what we are ready to let go, and what we are thankful for.

If you have never prayed, think about it as a conversation with someone who loves you unconditionally. How would you talk to him/her? What would you share, ask, and thank?

Being in pain makes it hard to think about things to be thankful for. I suggest you to try reminding yourself of everything you have today ( people, things, work, school, medications, doctors, food, water, family, friends, your body, etc … ) and how you would feel if they were not available to you the next day. You will quickly find a handful of reasons to be thankful for.

Embrace your faith. There is a God around for all of us, ready to help. We just need to ask.
